It doesn't matter what the DNS settings are on the firewall. What matters is what the CLIENT is configured to use for DNS servers. If the client is configured to use DNS servers out on the internet (google, level 3, OpenDNS, quad9, etc), all those queries will be policy routed out the VPN and blocked by the tag/tagged mechanism if the VPN is down just like all of the other traffic from that

If the DNS server IP is in the same country as the location you're connected to, but the IP itself is not equal to the IP As per How-To, With Wan->DNS. DNS1: 10.4.0.1. If I set DNS1 and DNS2 to my normal 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 and then set vpn "accept dns config" to Strict, so it accepts DNS config from airvpn and uses it before my google ip's, same happens again, ip leak shows the google dns.
